The JDE Decorative Jar Competition is a chance for aspiring designers from selected top design schools in the ANZ, APAC and European regions to create a design as part of a limited edition set of collectable JDE glass jars that
will inspire people to take small steps towards better choices for our planet.
JDE will select six winning designs that will be featured on limited edition coffee jars across the ANZ, APAC and European regions. Plus, each winning entry will be rewarded with $5,000 AUD.
The design theme for this year's project is sustainability, which aligns to JDE’s mission for all our packaging to be 100% recyclable by 2025. Our iconic glass jar is already 100% recyclable and made from over 50%
recycled material, so in keeping with this sustainability theme, JDE is challenging the designers of tomorrow to create the designs today.
Entries will be accepted from 12:01 AEST on Tuesday August 31, 2021, and the competition will close at 23:59 AEST on Sunday September 19, 2021.
The Competition is only open to enrolled students aged 18 and over at the following education institutions.
